Stalled train blocks exit tracks at Bukit Panjang LRT depot, delays service

Service on the Bukit Panjang LRT was delayed Thursday morning by a stalled train that prevented other trains from exiting the depot.

In a Facebook post, operator SMRT said an operator error caused a stalled train to block the depot exit routes on the track. All trains were blocked from launching their scheduled routes apart from three trains that continued providing passenger services as schedule.

It said the stalled train was cleared by 6.34am, and trains were progressively launched from the depot at 6.25am. Full operations resumed at 7.22am.

SMRT activated free bus bridging services from 5.10am to serve commuters, and continued running the shuttle buses till 7.36am.
