Ten disadvantaged children joined staff from the Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) to decorate Christmas trees to be auctioned for charity on Sunday.
The project aims to benefit needy children and is organised as part of furniture giant Ikea's global Soft Toys for Education campaign. The ten beneficiaries this year are from voluntary welfare organisation Food From The Heart.
SPH staff from Chinese daily Lianhe Wanbao, design magazine Home & Decor and Chinese radio DJs joined the kids in decorating eight trees with soft toys at Ikea Alexandra.
The trees will be on display for two weeks at the entrances of Ikea branches, before they are auctioned off on Dec 8. All proceeds will be donated to Food From The Heart.
