Up to 200 students will be accepted for Spectra Secondary School's first intake for January 2014.

The second specialised school for Normal (Technical) students will set aside places in subsequent years for mainstream schools students who wish to transfer mid-stream. A board of directors from both public and private sectors have also been appointed to oversee and guide the development of the school.

They will serve a three-year term and help the school facilitate stronger industry and community partnerships.

Members of the board include Mrs Chua Yen Ching, Director of Curriculum Planning & Development Division in the Ministry of Education, Principal of the Institute of Technical Education, College Central, Dr Ang Kiam Wee, as well as Director of Park Hotel Group, Mr Allen Law.
