SPCA to move to new premises at Sungei Tengah

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) will have a new home at Sungei Tengah soon.

The 7,766 square metre site, which will be designed by RichardHO Architects, is about three and a half times bigger than its existing premises, said a statement by SPCA on Friday.

The building is estimated to cost $5.6 million and will include exercise areas for animals, an education centre for visitors and an events park.

The society will be conducting intensive fundraising efforts over the next two years, including a gala dinner in September. Its lease at Mount Vernon Road will expire in December 2014.
