SP Services releases public advisory on scam e-mails

SP Services has warned members of the public about unauthorised e-mails being sent on their behalf.

The scam involves e-mails asking recipients to click on an attached link to view their electricity bill. SP Services in a statement on Wednesday said that investigations show that these e-mails were sent randomly and were also sent to individuals who do not have utilities accounts with SP Services.

It assured customers that the scam e-mails did not result in any unauthorised access into their system and all utility accounts and personal information has not been compromised.

A police report has already been made on the cases that have been brought to their attention. Members of the public may contact SP Services for enquiries at 1800-222-2333 or e-mail spservices@singaporepower.com.sg
