Passengers travelling between the Labrador Park and Harbourfront stations on the Circle Line (CCL) next weekend should expect slightly longer traveling time due to cable works.

The power cable change-out, which helps minimise potential outages, will take place in the morning of Oct 27 from the start of service to 10am. Trains will operate on a single platform between the Labrador Park and Harbourfront stations

SMRT said in a statement on Monday that it would put up signs and make announcements at affected stations to inform passengers of the ongoing works. Station staff will also be deployed to provide help, it added.

The cable replacement programme started in mid-January and SMRT expects to complete it by the end of this year, 18 months ahead of time.
