The 358 units from six blocks in Shunfu (Bishan) HUDC estate were privatised on Thursday.

The estate consists of Blocks 314, 315, 316, 317, 318 and 319 along Shunfu Road with individual flat owners owning their own strata units.

The Management Corporation Strata Plan No. 3676 will take over responsibility from the Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council in managing and maintaining the common property like car parks and open landscaped areas.

Privatisation of HUDC estates was announced in 1995 as part of the Government's effort to meet the rising aspirations of Singaporeans to own private housing, said a Housing Board release on Thursday.
