SINGAPORE - All Singaporeans in Nepal who are registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) are safe following the latest earthquake, MFA said.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the MFA spokesman said: "As of May 13, 2015, Singaporeans in Nepal registered with the Ministry have been accounted for and are safe."

A 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck Nepal on Tuesday, barely three weeks after the country was devastated by its deadliest quake in more than 80 years.

Dozens of people were killed in the latest disaster, bringing the overall death toll to more than 8,200.
