Singapore has removed all restrictions for flights to and from Sierra Leone and Tanzania in Africa, and Slovenia in Central Europe.

The open skies deals are unlikely to result in direct flights between Singapore and the three countries due to limited demand. but they still affirm Singapore's commitment to liberal skies.

The agreements were signed on the sidelines of a global gathering of International Civil Aviation Organisation member countries being held in Montreal, Canada, until Monday.

Singapore's delegation is led by Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew, who inked the open skies deals with his counterparts from the three countries, the Transport Ministry said on Saturday. With the recent agreements, Singapore now has air links with more than 120 countries, the ministry said.
