Singapore Red Cross provides $150,000 in aid to Sichuan

The Singapore Red Cross (SRC) provided $150,000 worth of relief supplies to help earthquake survivors in Sichuan on Monday. Some $50,000 donated by the Government is included in the aid package.

Some 120,000 people in Lushan county need temporary shelter, food, drinking water and medicines immediately, said the SRC in a statement on Monday.

SRC operating hours are extended for cash and cheque donations. In addition, Singaporeans may use two hotlines, 6664-0501 or 6664-0502 to locate loved ones affected by the earthquake.
