Singapore Maritime Week to reach out to more members of the public

There will be more opportunities for the public to get involved in this year's Singapore Maritime Week which starts on April 7.

For example, this year's maritime exhibition will be in three locations - VivoCity, Plaza Singapore and Nex Mall - instead of just one location like last year. The exhibition will showcase models of quay cranes, bunker tankers and marine wildlife among other things.

More students - more than 400 this year, up from 350 last year - have also been invited to join the Maritime Learning Journeys which gives them a chance to visit the Raffles Lighthouse, shipyards and the maritime gallery to learn more about the maritime industry.

The event will have 25 different activities including industry seminars, a scavenger hunt competition and a t-shirt design competition among other things.
