Singapore condemns Davao bombing

Singapore condemns the bomb explosion in Davao City, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) said yesterday.

"We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wish the injured a speedy recovery," the ministry said in a statement. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has contacted all registered Singaporeans in Davao and verified that they are safe."

The MFA urged Singaporeans in Davao who have not registered with it to let their families and loved ones know that they are safe. "Singaporeans in the Philippines are advised to exercise vigilance, and monitor the local news and instructions of the local authorities, " it said.
