Seventeen people injured in morning accident on AYE; no fatalities

Seventeen people were injured in an accident involving a lorry on the Ayer-Rajah expressway (AYE) on Thursday morning.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted at 8.15am to an accident on the AYE towards the East Coast Parkway, before the Jurong Town Hall exit.

Four ambulances were dispatched and the victims were taken to Alexandra Hospital and the National University Hospital.

The Straits Times understands that there were no fatalities or critical injuries.
