The setting up of a new food agency here may well be a savoury prospect for food businesses and consumers.

From April, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) will take over the food-related functions of the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA), the National Environment Agency and the Health Sciences Authority.
