Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Manpower Hawazi Daipi will visit Brunei from Thursday to Sunday .

Mr Hawazi and Brunei's Permanent Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office, Mr Mahrub Haji Murni, will be the guests-of-honour for two student reality television programmes - Xpedisi Siswa and Grid.

These programmes are jointly produced by MediaCorp and Radio Television Brunei under the Singapore-Brunei Broadcasting memorandum of understanding (MOU). Now in its 23rd year, the MOU covers broadcast programme exchanges, joint productions, education, training and research.

A total of 16 students from Singapore and Brunei will participate in the two programmes which aim to promote bilateral exchanges and cooperation among youth, broadcasters and officials from both countries. During the visit, Mr Hawazi will also call on Brunei's Education Minister Awang Haji Abu Bakar Haji Apong and other Brunei Government office holders.
