Basi is the second-oldest panda in the world, according to panda expert Zhang Guiquan from the Wolong National Nature Reserve. He said that one year of a panda's life is equivalent to three or four years for humans.

A 38-year-old panda in Hong Kong, named Jia Jia, is the world's oldest.
