Suzhou Mayor Qu Futian called on Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean yesterday to reaffirm the close cooperation between Suzhou and Singapore.

This collaboration, which under- scores the longstanding bilateral ties between Singapore and China, started with the launch of the Suzhou Industrial Park in 1994.

Mr Teo co-chairs the Joint Council for Bilateral Cooperation and the Suzhou Industrial Park Joint Steering Council meetings with Chinese Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli.
