Road closures for SG50 Jubilee Big Walk on Sunday

SINGAPORE - A number of roads in the Civic District will be closed this Sunday (Nov 29) morning from 2am to 12pm for the SG50 Jubilee Big Walk.

Roads affected include Handy Road, Penang Road, Prinsep Street, Stamford Road, Fort Canning Link and Armenian Street. They will be partially closed from 2am to 10.30am.

Between 5am and 10.30am, High Street and the carriageway of Hill Street towards New Bridge Road will be closed.

Between 6am and 12pm, Old Parliament Lane, St. Andrew's Road, Connaught Drive and stretch of Fullerton Road between Esplanade Drive and Connaught Drive will be closed.

In addition, the direction of vehicular traffic along Queen Street (between Bras Basah Road and Stamford Road) will become a two-way road from 2am to 10.30am.

About 25,000 people will be participating in the SG50 Jubilee Big Walk, which is organised jointly by The New Paper and the People's Association.
