Road closures due to two runs on the weekend

SINGAPORE - A total of nine roads in central Singapore will be closed to traffic on Sunday morning due to two running events.

The roads and lanes that will be affected by the Singapore Airlines Charity Run 2014, organised by Hivelocity Events, are:

Republic Boulevard in the direction of Raffles Avenue;

Nicoll Highway in the direction of Esplanade Drive (between Mountbatten Road and Middle Road);

Republic Avenue (between Crawford Street and Republic Boulevard);

The extreme left lane of Crawford Street in the direction of Republic Avenue (between Kallang Road and Republic Avenue)

These roads will be closed starting from 4am. The Republic Boulevard carriageway will be opened at 9am and Nicoll Highway at 9.30am. Traffic along Republic Avenue and the Crawford Street lane will resume at 11am.

The roads and lanes affected by the Civil Service Club's CSC Run By The Bay 2014 are:

Two left lanes of Raffles Avenue (between The Float @ Marina Bay and Esplanade Drive);

Two left lanes of Esplanade Drive in the direction of Fullerton Road (between Raffles Avenue and Fullerton Road);

The extreme left lane of Fullerton Road and Collyer Quay in the direction of Raffles Quay (between Esplanade Drive and its junction with Marina Boulevard);

The extreme left lane of Marina Boulevard in the direction of Marina Coastal Drive (between Raffles Quay and Marina View Link);

Tanjong Rhu View

These roads will be closed from 5.30am to 8.30am, except Tanjong Rhu View, which will be closed until 9am.

During the road closure, access into the roads will be granted only to police and emergency vehicles.

Parking restrictions along the peripheral roads will be strictly enforced. Vehicles found parking and causing obstruction will be towed.
