A life-size replica of a historic Chinese junk at the Maritime Experiential Museum took an unexpected dip in the harbour last Saturday.

According to a security guard, the ship partially sank due to heavy rain. It was one of five vessels in the Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) museum's Historic Ship Harbour, and is a permanent exhibit on traditional Asian maritime craft.

An RWS spokesman said it had found the ornamental ship partially submerged during pre-opening checks last Saturday morning.

"We are working to remove the ship, and the works will not affect operations in the resort," she said.
