SINGAPORE - The United States Embassy in Singapore has come out to clarify that there has been no change to the visa policy for Singaporeans travelling to America.

This comes after one report said that President Trump would be calling off the Visa Waiver Program for Singaporeans from July 1.

This report was shared widely on social media.

In a Facebook post on Thursday (June 29) evening, the embassy said: "We are aware of rumors circulating regarding changes to the Visa Waiver Program for Singapore. There has been no change to the policy for Singaporeans traveling to the United States."

Citizens of countries under the programme can travel to the US for up to 90 days without first obtaining a visa, as long as they meet certain requirements.
