SINGAPORE - Ticket applications for this year's National Day Parade (NDP) close on May 17, the Ministry of Defence said in a reminder on Thursday.

Singaporeans and Permanent Residents can apply by SMS or on the official NDP 2015 website, or at SAM or AXS stations. Tickets will be allocated by ballot for either the preview show on Aug 1 or the actual show on Aug 9, and are in sets of two, four or six. Balloting chances are higher for those who apply for fewer tickets.

There are three location options: the Padang, the Float, or either location.

Children and infants must also have tickets to be admitted. People who applied successfully last year will not be able to apply this year.

Those who are allocated tickets will be notified from June 1 to 5 and will be able to collect their tickets from June 5 to 14, between 10am and 10pm daily, at Marina Square Shopping Mall Atrium.

There will be an exhibition about this year's parade held there at the same time.
