Former senior parliamentary secretary for manpower and education Hawazi Daipi (left) was among more than 200 former students of Telok Kurau Secondary School and guests who met last night for an SG50 dinner. Mr Amrin Amin (second from left), Parliamentary Secretary for Home Affairs, was the guest of honour. A coffee table book was also launched at the event at Village Hotel Bugis to commemorate the history of the integrated school. It was set up in 1965 and brought together both English- and Malay-stream students. The school was merged with Broadrick Secondary in 2010.
