Puppy allegedly dumped in Yio Chu Kang

SINGAPORE - A white male puppy that was allegedly dumped was found in a green rubbish bin near 21G Jansen Road in Yio Chu Kang on Tuesday at about 8.30am.

Animal welfare group, Save Our Street Dogs Singapore, said it was a two-month-old Japanese Spitz puppy. The animal was found alive by a domestic helper working in that unit, and a resident sent it to a vet. It tested positive for parvovirus, a frequently lethal canine virus, and died on Wednesday morning.

The puppy also bears the microchip number: 458-098-500-249-002.
