Japanese tea ceremony expert and Unesco goodwill ambassador Sen Genshitsu conducting a tea ceremony at the Istana yesterday for President Tony Tan Keng Yam and Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan. Dr Sen, 93, Urasenke Grand Master XV, is the former head of Urasenke, one of Japan's leading tea ceremony schools. He holds tea ceremonies around the world to promote peace, and in 2010 held a tea ceremony and peace prayer for the United Nations General Assembly at the UN Headquarters in New York.
