SINGAPORE - President Tony Tan Keng Yam will be overseas on a private visit from Sunday to Thursday, said a statement from the President's Office.

The chairman of the Council of Presidential Advisers, Mr J Y Pillay, will exercise the functions of the office of the President during this period.
