SINGAPORE - President Tony Tan Keng Yam will be visiting Team Singapore at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from Thursday until Monday (Aug 11 to 15).

During his visit the president will also meet the Singaporean community in Brazil at a National Day reception, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a press statement.

While he is away, the chairman of the Council of Presidential Advisers, Mr J. Y. Pillay, will act as president.
