President confers order on Brunei police commissioner

President Tony Tan Keng Yam presenting the Distinguished Service Order (Darjah Utama Bakti Cemerlang) to the Commissioner of Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF)Mohd Jammy yesterday at the Istana State Room.

Instituted in 1968, the order is conferred on any person who has performed, within Singapore or in special circumstances outside Singapore, an act or series of acts constituting distinguished conduct.

Since his appointment as Commissioner of RBPF in May last year, Dato Hj Mohd Jammy has been a strong advocate for closer cooperation and collaboration between the Singapore Police Force and the RBPF. Dato Hj Mohd Jammy received the medal for his outstanding contributions in fostering excellent bilateral ties and cooperation between the two forces.

Dato Hj Mohd Jammy also called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Desmond Lee, and Commissioner of Police Hoong Wee Teck.
