SINGAPORE - It will be a bumper year for babies born in 2015, when Singapore celebrates its 50th National Day.
Besides the country's specially packaged SG50 Baby Jubilee Gift hamper, our newest citizens will also get a limited edition commemorative gift set from POSB.
The "people's bank" has put together nine presents in a POSB Smiley Gift Bag.
The items are a diaper bag, a pair of mittens and booties, a plush toy, a coin bank, a height chart, a bluetooth selfie stick, a 2R picture holder, a "baby on board" car sign and a pack of Zappy baby wipes.
The gift bags will be distributed to parents of babies delivered at these participating hospitals: KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Mount Alvernia Hospital, National University Hospital, Parkway Hospitals Singapore (Gleneagles Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Parkway East Hospital), Raffles Hospital, Singapore General Hospital and Thomson Medical Centre.
On top of that, POSB will give education grants worth $10,000 to five lucky babies born in 2015.
Parents-to-be can log on to www.posb.com.sg to register for the POSB Smiley Gift Bag and take part in the POSB Education Grant Lucky Draw.
As for the official SG50 Baby Jubilee Gift, parents of Singapore children born next year can log on to www.nptd.gov.sg/sg50baby to register for the gift from the start of next year.
The SG50 baby hamper comprises eight items: medallion, a shawl, a baby sling, a set of baby clothes, a diaper bag, a scrapbook, a photo frame and a set of baby books.
