Police to probe death of 49-year-old SAF regular

SINGAPORE - The police will conduct an investigation into the death of Master Warrant Officer (MWO) Jude Sebastian Vincent.

The 49-year-old Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) regular serviceman was found unconscious in Stagmont Camp on Friday morning, said Mindef in a statement issued early Saturday morning.

MWO Vincent was immediately evacuated to the Stagmont Medical Centre, arriving at around 10.35am where a medical officer attended to him. He was subsequently sent via SAF ambulance to the National University Hospital (NUH) at 11am and arrived 15 minutes later.

"The SAF medical officer and medics continued to resuscitate him en route to the hospital. MWO Vincent was pronounced dead at 11.54am at NUH," Mindef said.

"The Ministry of Defence and the SAF have extended their deepest condolences to the late MWO Vincent's family, and the SAF is assisting his family in their time of grief. A police investigation will be conducted."

A YouTube user by the name of alvinpang7797 uploaded a four-minute video on April 17 dedicated to MWO Vincent.
