Police have arrested the man allegedly involved in a spitting incident at Woodlands Interchange on Tuesday that was filmed and widely shared online.

In a statement, the police said the 47-year-old man will be charged for public nuisance and other offences.

The video of the unsavoury incident recorded on Tuesday night showed the man spitting into the face of one woman twice.

The Facebook user who posted the video said the incident was sparked by the man jumping a bus queue. He said the man spat at two women multiple times and shouted at them.
