SINGAPORE- Police have arrested an 18-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a case of snatch theft along Alexandra Road.
On April 9 at about 10.15pm, a 60-year-old woman reported to the police that her handbag containing her personal belongings and valuables was snatched away from her by a man along Alexandra Road while she was crossing an overhead bridge.
In a statement, the police said that they established the identity of the suspect and arrested him on Monday.
If convicted of snatch theft, the man faces a jail term of up to seven years, and may be caned.
