Police appeal for information on fatal hit-and-run at Bukit Merah

SINGAPORE - A 61-year-old pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Henderson Road on Sunday (Sept 4).

Police are appealing for information on the accident that happened at about 1.20am opposite Bukit Merah View Market & Hawker Centre.

After the accident, the driver of the vehicle did not stop and fled the scene, police said.

The 61-year-old pedestrian suffered multiple injuries, and subsequently died. The Straits Times understands that the victim was a woman.

Police urged the public to come forward if they have any information regarding the accident.
