PM Lee sends Singapore's condolences

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has written to his French counterpart, Mr Manuel Valls, to express his condolences over the terrorist attacks in Paris, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said yesterday.

In the letter dated Nov 14, Mr Lee said: "On behalf of the Government of Singapore, I offer our deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the multiple terrorist attacks in Paris on Nov 13, 2015.

"I am deeply saddened by the loss of so many innocent lives. This is an attack on our shared humanity. Singapore strongly condemns these heinous attacks. We support the French government's efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and the French people during this difficult time."
