PM Lee practices 11th National Day Rally speech

PRACTICE makes perfect for Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, who had his first go at delivering his speech for this year's National Day Rally at a practice session yesterday.

It will be his 11th National Day Rally speech since he took over the helm in 2004.

This year's rally will be held at the ITE College Central, as it was last year.

Singaporeans can also watch it live online on the Prime Minister's Office's YouTube channel.

In a Facebook post yesterday, Mr Lee said he has been spending most of his time working on the speech.

He also revealed that he has "almost settled" another speech - his National Day message, which will be recorded this weekend and broadcast on Aug 8.

"Ten days to National Day! Looking forward to celebrating with everyone on 9 August," he wrote.
