PM Lee Hsien Loong marks 3rd year on social media with video

SINGAPORE - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Monday marked his third anniversary on social media and thanked his supporters with a video looking back at his posts in the past year.

He wrote on Facebook: "Today marks my third year on Facebook and Twitter. I hope you have enjoyed my posts. I've certainly had fun doing them, and hearing from you. Thanks especially those who have shared your own stories, suggested places for my #guesswhere and #justforfun posts, and raised ideas on many issues. Here are some highlights from the past year. Thank you for your support! - LHL"

Highlights in the video ranged from state events like having nasi lemak with Indonesian President Joko Widodo, to more personal ones like bumping into the Lee family's former driver Goh Khoon Seng.

Mr Lee joined Facebook on April 20, 2012 and has amassed more than 740,000 likes on his official Facebook page.

He has about 163,000 followers on Twitter, and 97,000 followers on Instagram which he joined about a year later.

Last year, Mr Lee also made a video to thank his supporters to mark the second anniversary he joined social media.
