SINGAPORE - In a Facebook post on Thursday (Oct 20) morning, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong posted a photo of himself attending a Cambridge University get-together.

It was a reunion dinner organised in Singapore for alumni of Trinity College, Cambridge University.

Singapore-based alumni attended the dinner, and according to PM Lee, they included "Singaporeans, Malaysians, British, Greek, Finnish, Nepalese and probably other nationalities too".

The occasion was a visit to Singapore by the Master of the college, Sir Greg Winter.

PM Lee graduated from Cambridge University's Trinity College in 1974 as the senior wrangler - an award given to the top mathematics undergraduate.

He shared about how the alumni "chatted about the world, as well as how things were (and are) in Cambridge".

He also quoted from the lyrics of xinyao song Friendship Forever (细水长流) as he reminisced about the dreams they had when they were young, and how they were "grateful to the college" for giving them "the nurturing and stimulus" to pursue their dreams.
