Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong hosted the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar (third from left), and his family to lunch yesterday at the Shangri-La Hotel. With them were (from left) Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, Law and Home Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam, the Sultan's wife Raja Zarith Sofiah, Mrs Lee, and the Crown Prince's wife Che Puan Khaleeda Bustamam. The Sultan was in Singapore to watch last night's Formula One race at PM Lee's invitation. "It has been a while since we last met, so it was good to catch up with them," said PM Lee in a Facebook post. A post on the Sultan's Facebook page said: "This is a manifestation of the longstanding and special relationship enjoyed by Johor and Singapore as evidenced by the series of cross-border visits and get-togethers by leaders from both sides."
