Online vice ring: Former Swiss banker found guilty

Former Swiss banker Juerg Buergin has been found guilty on both charges of having sex with an underage escort in the online vice ring case following a four-day trial.

During the trial, the 41-year-old had claimed he was cheated into believing that the girl was over 18.Buergin, a married father of two, is accused of having paid sex with the girl, who was 17 when the alleged offences occurred.

The minor, who is said to have had paid sex with 51 men, gave evidence away from the eyes of the media and the public after the prosecution applied for it to be heard in camera.

Buergin is expected to be sentenced on May 8.
