One lucky person has won more than $9.5 million in yesterday's Toto draw.

It is the largest amount ever won by a single person for a Toto draw in Singapore, a spokesman for Singapore Pools said.

The winner would have had to match all six winning numbers, which were 7, 8, 17, 39, 46, 49. The additional number was 13.

The Group 1 jackpot of $9,545,480 had accumulated since Feb 1 as there was no winner for the last three draws.

The winning ticket was sold at Block 211, Hougang Street 21, and it was a "System 7 Entry", according to Singapore Pools' website.

Ten people shared the Group 2 prize of $89,225.

  • What it should have been

  • Yesterday's report, "One winner hits $9.5m Toto jackpot", stated that 10 people shared the Group 2 prize of $89,225 when each of the 10 won $89,225.

We are sorry for the error.

In March last year, one person took home $8 million before the record was broken yesterday.

And yesterday's record could be eclipsed if one person wins the top prize in the upcoming $12 million Toto Hongbao Draw on Feb 19.

The results of that draw will be posted on the Singapore Pools website from 10.30pm on the evening of the draw, as well as on the Singapore Pools Results Facebook page and the Singapore Pools Twitter page.

They will also be published in all major Singapore daily newspapers on Feb 20.

Last year, two winners shared the $12 million jackpot.
