One Connect hotline for private estate residents extended to 11,000 households

A scheme to provide a one-stop hotline for private estate residents to report neighbourhood maintenance issues has been extended to Jurong GRC and Yuhua SMC.

Some 28,000 residents living in 11,000 private households will benefit from One Connect, where residents can call 9631-3116, and grassroots volunteers would then help to coordinate with the respective agencies to resolve the issues.

The programme was launched at Hoover Park near Upper Bukit Timah Road on Sunday. Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam, who is also grassroots adviser to Jurong GRC, was guest of honour for the event.

The One Connect programme has been launched at nine other GRCs since last July. There have been 1,410 cases logged, with 90 per cent of them resolved.
