Suspicious object believed to be bullet found outside State Courts building

SINGAPORE - Police are investigating a suspicious object that was found near the main entrance of the State Courts building on Wednesday (April 26) afternoon.

The object is believed to be a bullet.

In response to media queries, police said they received a report at 2.49pm regarding an item suspected to be ammunition found at 1 Havelock Square.

At least five police officers were seen outside the building. An area the size of half a badminton court was cordoned off as they conducted their investigations.

A police officer was spotted snapping pictures of the surrounding area and at around 4pm, he took photographs of a small dark-coloured object on the ground.

It was later placed inside an envelope and the cordon was removed soon afterwards.
