National University of Singapore (NUS) history professor, Dr Chua Ai Lin will be taking over from Ms Dahlia Shamsuddin as the new president of the Singapore Heritage Society.

This was announced at the society's Annual General Meeting held at the National Library on Saturday afternoon.

Founded in 1986, the non-profit, non-government organisation is dedicated to the preservation, transmission and promotion of Singapore's history, heritage and identity.
