NTU holds first career fair for growing engineering services sector

The Nanyang Technological University (NTU) on Tuesday held its first career fair for students interested in Singapore's growing engineering services sector. The sector looks at the design and management of manufacturing plants and its accompanying infrastructure.

Eight companies, including Fortune 500 firm Jacobs Engineering Group along with Sembcorp and Hyflux, had jobs up for grabs at the fair. More than 80 jobs were available including design engineering and project management positions. A total of 450 students were expected to attend.

Singapore's engineering services sector accounts for 1.2 per cent of the country's Gross Domestic Product and employs about 37,000 people.
