Nominations for Good Neighbour Award now open

Nominations for this year's Good Neighbour Award are now open.

The award, which started in 2009, rewards gracious and friendly neighbours who go the extra mile to help those living around them.

Organised by the Housing Development Board (HDB), the Singapore Kindness Movement and Singapore Press Holdings, the awards reward those found to be exceptionally neighbourly with up to $500.

In 2011, 2,360 nominations were received with awards given to over 300 residents and students.

Nomination forms are available at HDB branches, POSB branches, community centres and residents' committee centres across the island.

Online submissions can be made at www.hdb.gov.sg/heartlandbeat or through the toll-free hotline 1800-866-3079. The hotline is open from 9am to 5pm till March 15.
