SINGAPORE - Another mega childcare centre - the latest in a string of such centres being built in areas with young families - was officially opened in Woodlands on Saturday (May 20).

The new centre is run by PCF Sparkletots and has the capacity to care for 370 children. Some 196 have already been enrolled.

The centre is spread out over nearly 3,000 square metres, with green spaces and a rooftop play area. It makes use of natural ventilation and light, and also has equipment to harness solar power.

Speaker of Parliament Halimah Yacob, who is also MP for Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC, was present at the opening ceremony.
