A new jobs portal for the aged care sector has been launched.

The website called Intermediate and Long-Term Careers (ILTCareers) was developed by the Agency for Integrated Care in partnership with the Intermediate and Long-Term Care Manpower Council.

Senior Minister of State for Health and Manpower, Dr Amy Khor, who was speaking at a study award presentation ceremony for intermediate and long term care professionals on Tuesday, said that the portal will help attract manpower to support the fast growing aged care sector. "By tapping on the Internet, job matching can be done round the clock at the convenience of both applicants and employers," she said.

The Government plans to build more than 100 aged care facilities across the island over the next five years and this sector is expected to create 15,000 jobs by 2020.
