A new feeder bus service - 803 - will start on Feb 16 to serve Yishun residents heading to the Yishun bus interchange and Yishun MRT station.

The service, operated by SMRT, will run daily from 5.20am till 12.55am from Mondays to Saturdays, and will start slightly later, at 5.30am, on Sundays and public holidays.

It will enhance connectivity to Nee Soon East Community Centre, North Point Biz Hub, and schools such as Xishan Primary and Yishun Town Secondary School.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) and SMRT said in a joint statement that the new feeder bus service will "serve residents staying in the new HDB housing projects in the area and offer existing residents an alternative travel option".

This is the 21st bus route launched under the LTA's $1.1 billion Bus Service Enhancement Programme, which will put a total of 800 new buses on the road to improve the bus network here.
