The Ministry of Defence will train selected full-time national servicemen (NSFs) as cyber defenders under a new short-term contract scheme as part of its cyber-security strategy.

After completing the minimum NSF term, they will earn regular service pay. They will serve for a total of three or four years.

These cyber specialists will take on more advanced roles, such as penetration testing, cyber forensics and malware analysis.

Besides the cyber specialists, the Cyber NSF Scheme includes NSF cyber operators performing more basic roles, such as round-the-clock threat monitoring and analysis.
