Residents commuting to and from Yishun MRT will now be able to make use of two new covered linkways and two barrier-free access ramps at the station.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has also extended the pick-up and drop off point along Yishun Ave 5.

The new covered linkways connect the station both to the traffic light junction of Yishun Avenue 2 and Yishun Avenue 5, as well as to the newly-extended pick-up and drop off point.

The ramps will ease movement for groups such as the elderly, young children and adults with prams. Construction works on the new additions began in 2011 and were completed this month.
